Because EPS steering takes a completely different approach to conventional hydraulic steering systems, understanding and performance of EPS products needs to be approached in a completely different way.
At KPS our in-house quality standards and checks have been reviewed to accommodate EPS systems with training programs for distributors. In each sector of the aftermarket there is a lack of understanding regarding EPS column performance, fitting, standards, diagnostics, communication etc., and a responsibility lies with us, the remanufacturer, to support changes and solutions to everyone.
All of our EPS power steering columns are produced within the ISO9001 quality standards and our production standards means that all systems are quality checked at every stage of the remanufacturing process.

Our production processes are audited to ensure that all of our power steering columns meets only the highest standards.
Product test simulation is performed by syncing the EPS column to our test facilities. Communication between the EPS column and the ECU information electronically stored in the test environment and is performed using an OBDII cable, via the CAN wiring system.
Tests are performed with the engine switched off and on, with varying speed levels between 0 and 100kph. Braking assistance is also applied and can be adjusted to different resistances to simulate vehicle ride and feel.
The ability to simulate vehicles with City Mode is a feature of the test where applicable.
